Reiki Treatments

Energy healing has been practiced across the world for thousands of years. Reiki is a very simple, yet powerful healing technique, originating in Japan in the early 1900s by Dr. Mikao Usui.

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a form of healing that accesses universal life energy. It is spiritually guided, guiding itself with its own wisdom rather than the direction of the Reiki practitioner. Reiki is self-correcting, knows just what a person needs, and adjusts itself accordingly. It has its own consciousness, cannot be contaminated or influenced, therefore can do no harm. Reiki is always safe and pure.

Reiki treatments can be done in-person, or via long-distance Reiki. As a Certified Master Reiki Practitioner, trained and belonging to the lineage of William Lee Rand via Colleen Benelli, Karen follows the Usui/Tibetan teachings.

Reiki has been used to treat stress, fatigue, anxiety, and negativity. All major and minor illnesses can be positively affected by Reiki. It has been show to be complimentary to all traditional forms of treatment and medicine.

At Igniting Spirit, we offer free Reiki Circles, Reiki Training, and Reiki Treatments. Treatments are offered at our location in Portland, Oregon, in your home, or another location convenient to you, within a reasonable distance.

Reiki treatments may also be performed, regardless of your physical location. Long-distance Reiki treatments have been found to be very effective.

As I sat on the couch in the middle of a crowded room at the Bbar ranch in Montana, fearing yet another night of little to no sleep, Karen placed her healing hands on my shoulders and gave me a magical Reiki treatment. Group by group, my muscles relaxed. A short walk through the snow back to my cabin and I enjoyed the deepest, most delicious sleep I can remember.
